My husband tried to impress me by inventing Ethernet 50 years ago

“Connectivity” was the word my husband used to describe his new talk. Bob is a big-time inventor and is about to receive the Turing Award from the Association for Computing Machinery for his work inventing Ethernet fifty years ago.

He’ll need to explain to the audience of ACM members and regular people like me how Ethernet connects computers over a network in order to send large amounts of data.

Having listened to his talks for over forty years, I rolled my eyes, indicating he’d need more to impress me.
